Alan Wallace

Dr Wallace has a worldwide reputation as a meditation guide, as an erudite scholar and translator of ancient Buddhist texts, and as a prolific author on the relationship between ancient mind-sciences and the findings of modern research.

Alan has devoted fourteen years to training as a Tibetan Buddhist monk and was ordained by H. H. the Dalai Lama. He went on to earn an undergraduate degree in physics and the philosophy of science at Amherst College and a doctorate in religious studies at Stanford. He was the lead meditation teacher in the Shamatha Project, a major scientific study on intensive meditation by the University of California, Davis. He is also the author of numerous books and essays.

With his unique background, Alan brings his deep experience and applied skills to the challenge of integrating traditional Indo-Tibetan Buddhism with the modern world. It is with this knowledge that he created and guides you through a series of meditation practices.

Indispensable for anyone wanting to understand the mind. A superb, clear set of exercises that will benefit everyone.
Paul Ekman, Professor Emeritus at the University of California, San Francisco
